Fees and FAQ
Fees
During your initial consultation, we will discuss fees and payment options to ensure you have a clear understanding before moving forward.
Payment may be made by direct bank deposit. All sessions are to be settled on the day.
Medicare Assistance
I provide psychological treatment under the Australian Government’s Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. As such, you may be able to access Medicare rebates, for both in person and telehealth sessions, if you are eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP.
With a Mental Health Care Plan for your GP, you can access a Medicare Rebate of around $93.25 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice typically cannot be filled with such short notice and therefore will attract a cancellation fee of $135.00.
If you cancel the day of your session or fail to arrive for a session, including forgetting it was scheduled, the full session fee will be incurred.
For any appointments on Mondays, notifications of any reschedules are to be received by the latest the Friday prior. Weekends are considered out of hours.
I am happy to meet via Telehealth if you are unable to attend in person on a particular day. If rescheduling to another time during the week is an option instead of canceling, I am happy to accommodate this as well.
Frequency and length of sessions
Each therapy session takes approximately 50 minutes. The frequency of sessions is based on your needs, but they are typically held weekly or fortnightly.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies depending on the individual and the issues being addressed. We will work together to develop a tailored treatment plan.
How do I know if a therapist is right for me?
Choosing the right therapist is important. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding starting a treatment with me and I will be happy to set up a time for a chat.
Confidentiality
All discussions in therapy sessions are confidential, with certain exceptions (e.g., risk of harm to self or others) or a subpoena.
